Building Cohesive Teams
Teams Come In All Sizes, Shapes and Levels of Cohesiveness
Let’s face it – teams don’t always get along. Because we all have different perspectives, experiences and motivators, we sometimes clash! This leads to confusion, resentment, even missed deadlines. Sound familiar?
We don’t ‘fix’ teams. We help people understand one another and communicate more effectively. This leads to more synergy, less confusion, better results and ultimately happier people.
Team sessions are engaging, thought-provoking and fun. They conclude with the writing of new team commitments and personal action plans. These sessions can be held on site or off (think local park or horse ranch).
Our most popular team sessions are Everything DiSC® and The 5 Behaviors of a Cohesive Team. We also create custom experiences based on your specific needs, goals and budget.
Here are two examples of UNIQUE team sessions…
Horse Power Leadership™
Horses have a lot to teach us. Like us, horses experience hierarchies, jealousy, moods, friendships, conflict and love.
This powerful, unique experience takes us to the “wild west” (Boulder, CO actually!) where we throw on the boots and observe horses to learn about communication and leadership.
By observing, leading and working the horses, we explore such questions as…
- What does it mean to authentically communicate?
- Are leaders naturally selected?
- How important is trust?
- What is the difference between leading and influencing? And which one is more effective?
- Does body language really matter?
Ground work only-no riding. No horse experience required. Group size is limited.
Custom Experiences
In your custom experience, we match the activities as closely as we can to the work people do in their jobs every day.
Experiential teambuilding provides an environment for people to observe objectively how they perform as a team. Whether they’re running water lines to remote villages as shown in this photo or deciding what to throw overboard in a sinking lifeboat, they practice skills like respectful debate, advocating and thinking outside the box.
The group connects what they learned in the experience to real life. Teams find better ways to communicate and make new commitments to one another.
